It’s May! It’s the 1st of May!

On labour day let’s take a moment to acknowledge how hard it is to work in this industry and how your support is important: it allow us to pay fair fees to artists, graphic designers, venues, technicians and leave something to cover our wages and the costs of running a small business (office rent, softwares, promo and so on!)

The poster for May is designed by Zoë Matt-Williams. A phone background is also available for download.

Here our concerts in May (links to free tickets are on Patreon):

10.05 — Matching Outfits + Vilma Crow — Donau 115

12.05 — TOPSY TURVY + Salamirecorder — Neue Zukunft

12.05 — SØWT + Rooves — Schokoladen

13.05 — Sean Nicholas Savage + Intro to Film Theory + Elizabete Balčus — Neue Zukunft

21.05 — Liv Solveig + WIM — LARK

27.05 — Marta del Grandi — Oblomov

In painting, graphic and video, Stella works with the vision of exploring raw intensity through colour and abstraction. Forms destabilise, structures dissolve, meanings shift. A new visual idiom takes shape in the cracks of the unfamiliar.

Romana Ruban is an illustrator and book designer based in Berlin. She’s sure that showing character is not a deadly sin, and keen to apply that motto to different projects and topics. From witty weirdness to sentimental realism, sometimes with a pinch of brutality: cycling, macabre, body positivity, urbanism, self digging and sweet coincidences merge in one world to evoke emotions or long forgotten memories.

There are only a few day left in 2025! This year was incredible!

We promoted 22 shows in Berlin this year, up from 14 in 2024: think about it!

We are happy to share our January poster, designed by Eva Schlutius.

Eva is behind the artwork of some amazing artists we had the pleasure to host this year, like LAWN CHAIR and Slowklahoma (who supported Popular Music at Tennis Bar back in May)

Putting on small shows also means working with a lot of risk and small margins. We are thankful for every ticket we sold and we are happy also for the times when we lost some $$$.

Christmas is in a few days and concert tickets make a great last minute present, so grab one for our upcoming shows!

And because a steady support is super important for us we want to thank our Patreons by adding some new perks! From now on you will get free entrance to selected shows & reduced tickets.

Here our upcoming shows and your Patreon perk:

27.01 — Andreya Casablanca + Städtische Manieren — Schokoladen 💫 limited free tickets for Patreons

18.02 — Queen Quail — Schokoladen

11.03 — Jana Horn — Neue Zukunft 💫 free for Patreons

13.05 — Sean Nicholas Savage — Neue Zukunft ✨ extra reduced tickets for Patreons

21.05 — Liv Solveig — LARK 💫 free for Patreons

This is already our third poster, and we love to see a new design every month. This time our designer is Julia Boehme a.k.a. Studio Goof.

Julia Boehme lives as an artist and illustrator in Leipzig (Germany) and likes to draw friendly characters that she places in all sorts of adventures while using different analogue techniques and mediums for her pictures, stories, gig posters or objects. They often turn out personal and poetic, often based on experiences, travels or playful reminiscences or homages to historic works and musical pieces that inspire her – processed in a comic way. She has mostly self-published her books or prints in small handprinted risography or silkscreen-print editions and takes part in exhibitions. When she doesn’t draw, she works as a graphic designer and printmaking teacher for kids and is also part of experimental-pop project ‚Mellie‘.

Our first poster is designed by Linus Kallin. You might recognize his style from the fantastic poster for Jeffrey Lewis he designed for us earlier this year. He’s also the mastermind behind the band Dusty Houseplants (maybe you saw them playing with Wishy and Crow Baby at Neue Zukunft last year) and he also makes beautiful videos (did you check out “It Keeps Happening” of Matching Outfits or “Another Try” of Blumes?).

Don’t you want it? Don’t you want to hang this on your wall or fridge and get reminded of brighter shows you don’t want to miss? Or even if you can’t make it, isn’t it nice to know you’re helping make these events happen? 💛

This poster will be available for all our paying Patreons. This is how to get it:

Thanks a lot for your support!
