I met John Mayer when I was 12 or 13 and it sparked my obsession with guitar. Thanks, John.
Do you write the music or the lyrics first?
I write little guitar parts first and lyrics tend to come later.
What’s the messiest show you ever attended and why?
My small university in the US had some pretty silly and messy house shows. Just like, masses of young people smashed together in a living room or basement.
Would you prefer a small show or an arena show (and why?)
Small show. I love the intimacy.
If your concert was a theme party, what would be the theme?
Tears and beers

This is already our third poster, and we love to see a new design every month. This time our designer is Julia Boehme a.k.a. Studio Goof.
Julia Boehme lives as an artist and illustrator in Leipzig (Germany) and likes to draw friendly characters that she places in all sorts of adventures while using different analogue techniques and mediums for her pictures, stories, gig posters or objects. They often turn out personal and poetic, often based on experiences, travels or playful reminiscences or homages to historic works and musical pieces that inspire her – processed in a comic way. She has mostly self-published her books or prints in small handprinted risography or silkscreen-print editions and takes part in exhibitions. When she doesn’t draw, she works as a graphic designer and printmaking teacher for kids and is also part of experimental-pop project ‚Mellie‘.

Would you prefer a small show or arena show (and why?)
Small shows, where you get to talk to everyone and really have a chance to take a look in a specific local scene and meet like minded people.
What’s the messiest show you ever attended and why?
There’s this local, DIY hardcore punk festival in a barn near our hometown. We go there every year, even if we’re not playing ourselves. There’s always just beautiful chaos everywhere.
People hanging on the ceiling, beer and sweat everywhere, and unlimited drinks and camping for very cheap.
What’s the best food you would like to find in your catering spread when arriving at a venue?
We all LOVE Lays green onion chips, unfortunately that deep fried gold is not for sale in the Netherlands. So we’re always really happy to be back at gas stations in eastern Europe when we see those little green bags.
Do you have something weird on your rider?
We ask for a packet of Pokémon cards, since we’re trying to catch them all.
Have you played in Berlin before?
Yes, this will be our 3th show in your amazing city. Actually the first ever SØWT show abroad was in Berlin. Also last year we had the honour of supporting Mudhoney on their EU-tour where we played SO36 on a Monday. While we were used to Monday shows not being that well visited, this was a crazy night and the crowd was amazing as well.
Crow Baby are playing tonight at LARK with Hachiku, a fantastic prom-themed party to celebrate the release of their album “Get Yourself Together”. Tickets are still available on DICE and Rausgegangen, find all info here.

A massage ball – best tourvan activity! And a good quality scented candle – good for creating a calm atmosphere backstage. And also, some places are smelly! Ha!

Arena show! Our music is just more fun when it’s loud!

80s prom, for obvious reasons!
We are sad and concerned about the decision of Germany’s Ministry of Culture to cancel the Kulturpass.
For three years, the Kulturpass gave young people turning 18 the opportunity to enjoy museums, concerts, cinemas and more with a small financial support (initially 200 €, later 100 €). It was a great initiative to strengthen the cultural sector and support young people enjoying culture after the pandemic.
The motivation of this cancellation is also absurd, citing the fact that regions should decide about culture, and not the state.
We see this as another attack on culture and om people with lower incomes, together with raising the price of the Deutschland Ticket, attempts to reform Bürgergeld and so much more.
As a small sign of protest, and because we believe culture must remain accessible to everyone, we are offering free tickets to our shows to everybody who was or is 18 years old in 2025. We are simbolically putting a 100 € budget towards this (first come first served).

We will be happy to allocate more tickets towards this, if our financial situation will allow it (we are struggling like everybody).
